From beginning to end I have LOVED this course!! It was a nice sized group and the materials provided were high quality and plentiful. Helen provided excellent tuition and supported our individual needs and creative journeys. I enjoyed having some ‘me’ time and found all of the activities and exercises relaxing. They allowed me to pick up where I left off from years ago and have totally reignited my creativity! I am excited about my next steps and discovering my own style of painting- thank you, thank you, thank you!!! ( I will definitely be attending future courses!! ) -Sarah.

It was brilliant! It was taught really well, I was worried I wouldn’t know what to paint but Helen gave us really clever ways of starting the intuitive process and growing our confidence. I would not have classed myself as a creative/artist but was pleased with what I produced and will continue to practice the techniques at home. It was a really calm and peaceful atmosphere. I would definitely come back! -Emma.

I was only able to make one session but really enjoyed the opportunity to have some quiet time with just enough direction and support to get started and develop a project. The set up was great, very supportive with the other participants. There was a bit of recap from the previous session which was helpful for me as I hadn’t been there. I especially liked the encouragement not to worry about creating one single ‘finished’ piece, but to continue adding, changing, and approaching from different perspectives. – Jo.

I hadn’t tried to paint anything since highschool so I was initially a little nervous about coming to the course however I found it welcoming, relaxing and supportive and felt that I was able to experiment with the paint without feeling embarrassed. I found working in a group was interesting as I could see how others developed their work and their interpretations of the guided sessions. I would definitely recommend the course to anyone, regardless of ability. I also found the process very mindful and a great way to let go and relax. I appreciated the chance to try different media to help me find what felt most natural and enjoyable to use. I think for me these session will be a starting point on a journey to become more creative. – Vic.

I haven’t painted since my early school days (although I enjoy looking at art), so am a complete novice. Helen was patient and generous is sharing her knowledge and tips. I found the classes to be relaxing and inspiring , and was proud of the art I came away with. I also really enjoyed the lovely cake ! – Emma.

Lovely setting and Helen was very friendly and welcoming. I was nervous about painting again after having not picked up a paint brush for years but she demystified it and made it accessible for anyone. It certainly wasn’t about painting ‘things’ but about experimenting with colour. Once I loosened up a bit about that idea, I started to really enjoy myself. The emails before each session were helpful to have an idea of what we were going to be doing. I perhaps could have don’t with a bit more direction as the style was very hands off but I understand that was partly done so as to not lead to rigid styles or colours etc. The cake was a treat! -Beth
