These are the prices for commissioning a portrait of your baby/child. If you have any further questions not answered here do get in touch!
How much does it cost?
I produce two different sized portraits. This is because I enjoy working on these sizes for portraits and they fit standard sized frames.
8 x 8 inches / 20.3 x 20.3cm £45
10 x 10 inches / 25.4 x 25.4cm £55
How long will it take for me to receive my portrait?
This does vary a little depending on my schedule, time of year and holidays. But on average I will aim to get your portrait to you within 2-4 weeks. I will contact you before, during and after the portrait is commissioned to keep you updated. If you wish to have your portrait for a specific date/occasion please try and place your order well in advance and let me know when you would like the portrait by!
Can two children be in the portrait?
Yes. The prices I’ve listed are for a portrait of a single child, so please contact me for a quote! A portrait of two children would need a bigger paper size and take longer to produce.
How much is shipping?
Do you always paint from a photograph?
Yes. Children are always on the move so painting from life is tricky! I like to have a few photographs if possible to get to know your child’s personality. Visit my page on how to order for details on how to choose and send photos.
What materials do you use?
Mostly watercolour. It’s a medium that can be both strong and subtle, bright and nuanced. I love how direct it is; as a busy Mum I often have to work during nap times, evenings or weekends and watercolour allows me to get into a painting quickly and come back to it if I need to. I also use ink and coloured pencils, so the work is technically mixed media. I paint on 300gsm acid-free watercolour paper.
